    How We Work

Andeavour is a small, senior team building the security layer for agentic AI: autonomous software agents that plan, call tools, and take action on behalf of an enterprise. Our product line, including AgentGuard and the Agentic SOC platform, exists because the security controls built for human users and static workloads do not hold up against agents that reason, self-modify their approach, and operate at machine speed. We work in short, tightly scoped iterations, ship into production environments early, and validate every claim we make against real telemetry rather than assumptions.

Because the team is lean, decisions are made close to the work. There is no multi-layer approval chain between an engineer noticing a problem and a fix shipping. We default to written communication, keep meetings short and infrequent, and expect everyone, including advisors, to read primary source material such as our research findings and our methodology before forming an opinion on a topic.

    What Advisory Board Members Do

This role is built specifically for people who currently hold or have recently held a CIO or equivalent technology leadership mandate. Advisory board members meet with our leadership team on a recurring cadence to pressure-test product direction, pricing, and go-to-market decisions against the realities of running technology for a large organization. You are not asked to write code or manage a team; you are asked to bring the perspective of the buyer and operator who has to defend a security investment to a board and live with the operational consequences of that decision.

Concretely, advisory board members review our product roadmap before it is finalized, react to early designs for detection and response workflows, sanity-check the way we describe risk to prospective customers, and introduce us to peers when they believe a specific capability, such as detecting an agentic SOC gap or a rogue agent action, would genuinely help their organization. Feedback is expected to be candid and specific; general encouragement is not useful to us and specific objections are.

    Who We Look For

We are looking for current or former CIOs, CISOs, and heads of infrastructure who have personally owned a security or platform budget of meaningful size, have shipped and later had to unwind a vendor decision that did not work out, and are comfortable telling a startup that an idea will not survive contact with a real enterprise environment. Experience evaluating or deploying generative AI tooling, LLM-based copilots, or autonomous agents inside a regulated or security-conscious organization is a strong plus, since much of our roadmap is shaped by how those deployments behave under real operational load.

We do not require public speaking experience, a large social media following, or a background in cybersecurity vendor marketing. What matters is depth of firsthand operating experience and a willingness to spend a small amount of focused time with us on a predictable schedule.

    Hiring Process

The process starts with an application through our hiring portal, linked above, where you can share your background and the type of engagement you are looking for. We review every application personally rather than routing it through an automated screen. If your experience is a fit, the next step is a working conversation, not a formal interview, where we walk through a real product decision we are currently facing and ask for your reaction.

A second conversation, if needed, includes a broader discussion with the founding team about expectations, time commitment, and how we would use your specific background. There is no case study, no take-home assignment, and no multi-round panel interview for this role; we try to respect the fact that advisory board candidates already have demanding day jobs.

    Benefits

Advisory board members receive equity compensation commensurate with their involvement, direct access to our founding and product leadership, and early visibility into product capabilities before general release. Full compensation details, including equity terms, are discussed individually during the process and are outlined in the agreement provided on the hiring portal.

Beyond compensation, board members get a seat at the table for a company building in a category that is moving quickly, with direct input into decisions that will shape how enterprises secure autonomous AI systems over the next several years.

    Equal Opportunity

Andeavour evaluates all candidates, including advisory board applicants, on the basis of relevant experience and fit for the role. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law. We welcome applications from technology leaders across industries, geographies, and organization sizes, provided the underlying operating experience is a match for the role described above.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a paid, full-time role?

No. This is a part-time advisory engagement designed to fit around an existing CIO or technology leadership position. Time commitment is discussed and agreed upon individually.

Do I need prior startup advisory experience?

No. What we need is real operating experience running technology and security for an organization, not prior advisory board experience specifically.

    Where do I apply?
